"Catch the Wind"

"Catch the wind" is an extremely visual play with four dancing winds and a band of inciting musicians. It is an outdoor-performance which opens with a spectacular parade – followed by poetic and dynamic dance and music about peoples urge to tame nature. The music and the dance is a result of a meeting between modern dance and popluar tradition with tracks back to the Nordic heritage.

”Dance hot spot”

This show is a generous and optimistic danceperformance. The Dancetheatre "NordenFra" is deeply rooted in the old Danish folk art and by combining these traditions with inspiration from ”Modern Dance” we have created a modern ovation to joy.

The performance opens with a grand and colourful parade of 4 dancers and 5 musicians. It is a living image of dance, music, singing and stiltwalking. The parade ends up with the performance ”Dance hot spot” , which is an opening ceremony. As in a ritual the performers go through atmospheres of prayer, trials, playing, erotic and release in order to be able to make room for the joy and the celebration. There is singing at full steam and the performance is very suitable for openings. The space gets warm by the dancing and is hereby made ready for other exciting happenings.

With ”Dance hot spot” NordenFra adds the needed energy to every street or space to make a successful festival.

Duration 40 minutes excl. parade
